Scott Vintinner’s Stock Ticker Web Part

Scott Vintinner was gracious enough to let me share his ported code. I have placed in on codeplex at http://www.codeplex/svstockticker
It requires you to enable personalization in whatever webpart zone you put it in via SharePoint Designer. I was hoping there was an article on this already, but there isn't so here's the steps...
1. Open your site in SharePoint Designer2. Tell it you want to edit the layout when it asks3. Right click the zone you are going to put the Stock Ticker in
4. Allow users to personalize the part - there is a checkbox - i'm too lazy to go check what it says exactly.
After that, you need to make sure users have the right's to personalize webparts on that site. I'm also too tired to diagram that, but...
